3 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Jose Trevino (forearm) is dealing with a forearm contusion that he suffered during a fall on Tuesday. Trevino will be out for at least a couple of days. As a result, catcher John Hicks is being called up from the minors. Outfielder Jason Martin has been optioned in a corresponding move. Jonah Heim is behind the plate and is hitting seventh on Tuesday against Oakland Athletics right-hander James Kaprielian. Hicks will serve as the short-term backup in Texas, so he can be ignored in fantasy. Trevino is hitting .230/.244/.309 with three home runs and 17 RBI in 174 plate appearances, while Heim has a slash line of .222/.278/.384 with three homers and 10 RBI in 109 plate appearances.
