3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried (finger) will be activated from the injured list to start on Wednesday against the New York Mets. Fried will only miss the minimum on the 10-day injured list with a blister on his left index finger that landed him on the IL on June 19. On the season, the left-hander has a 4.21 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 55 strikeouts in 57 2/3 innings over his 11 starts, but he did have a 2.51 ERA and 41/15 K/BB in his last 46 2/3 innings over eight starts before his blister issue cropped up. The 27-year-old southpaw will be a bit more risky in his first start off the injured list against the division-rival Mets, but we wouldn't blame fantasy managers for throwing him right back into the fire on Wednesday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
