Kyle Schwarber Refuses To Cool Off
3 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Kyle Schwarber hit two more home runs in Monday night's 8-4 win over the New York Mets. Schwarber's leadoff home run went a projected 439 feet at 110.2 mph off the bat, per Statcast. It was his 11th career leadoff homer. The second bomb went 409 feet at 105.8 mph for his 13th career multi-homer game and fifth in 2021. Schwarber's 15 long balls in June are the most in any month in team history. His 11 homers in the last nine games are tied for the most in any nine-game stretch since 1901. The lefty slugger also joined Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa as the only players to hit 15 home runs in a 17-game stretch. Schwarber now has 24 homers on the season and remains scorching-hot for fantasy managers.
