Mets Hope To Activate Brandon Nimmo On Tuesday
4 years agoNew York Mets manager Luis Rojas said the team is hoping to activate outfielder Brandon Nimmo (finger) from the injured list on Tuesday. Nimmo has been out of action since early May with a detached ligament in his left hand. The 28-year-old should be added immediately if he's lingering on your league's waiver wire, especially in on-base-percentage leagues. Nimmo will be a huge boost to the Mets and fantasy managers, as he was hitting a cool .318/.430/.439 with a homer, eight RBI and two stolen bases in 80 plate appearances before his injury. With Nimmo's return imminent in center field, Kevin Pillar and Albert Almora Jr. will likely lose some playing time, but Nimmo can also be shifted to left field occasionally.
