Eduardo Escobar Returns To D-Backs Lineup
4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eduardo Escobar (quadriceps) is back in the starting lineup on Friday against the San Diego Padres. Escobar is back at the hot corner and is hitting third against Padres right-hander Chris Paddack. The veteran infielder missed the whole first half of the week after he strained his right quadriceps on Sunday, but he did hit a pinch-hit home run on Wednesday. The 32-year-old switch-hitter has been extremely valuable for fantasy managers this year, batting .242/.290/.466 with 16 home runs, 38 runs scored, 46 RBI and a stolen base in 72 games. With the Diamondbacks out of the race already, they're likely to trade him this summer, so they'll hope he can prove he's fully healthy to boost his trade value. Get him back into your starting lineups against Paddack.
