Mets Expect Brandon Nimmo Back Next Week
4 years agoNew York Mets manager Luis Rojas said the team expects outfielder Brandon Nimmo (finger) back at some point next week. Nimmo has been out since May 2, but his return will be excellent news for both the Mets and fantasy managers. The 28-year-old was slashing .318/.430/.439 with a home run, seven runs scored, eight RBI and two stolen bases before landing on the injured list. Especially in leagues that count on-base percentage, Nimmo is worth picking up and stashing now if he was previously dropped because of his injury. Nimmo primarily played center field before his injury, which would be bad news for Kevin Pillar and Albert Almora Jr. when he returns. The Mets also recently got Michael Conforto back from the injured list.
