Danny Duffy Reinstated And Set To Start Wednesday
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy (forearm) has been activated from the injured list and he is set to start Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees. Duffy has been out since May 12 while dealing with a left forearm flexor strain. He was off to a phenomenal start to the year before the injury. Over seven starts, he posted a 1.94 ERA and 1.13 WHIP to go along with a 28.2% strikeout rate. He is expected to be on a pitch count for Wednesday's outing, but the team hasn't specified what that count will be. To make room on the roster for Duffy, the Royals sent rookie pitcher Jackson Kowar back to Triple-A.
