Wander Franco Homers, Doubles In MLB Debut
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco had a memorable MLB debut against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. Franco went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, three RBI and two runs. Rays manager Kevin Cash threw Franco right out into the fire in his first game, slotting him in as the team's No. 2 hitter while playing him at third base. Franco was tearing things up at Triple-A before the call-up. Over 39 games at Triple-A, he slashed .315/.367/.586 with seven home runs, 11 doubles, five stolen bases, 35 RBI and 30 runs. He should be rostered in all fantasy leagues. He's a generational talent who could be ready to deliver strong numbers as soon as this year.
