3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Michael Pineda (elbow) was placed on the 10-day injured list with right elbow inflammation Monday. Pineda experienced forearm tightness after his June 1 start against the Baltimore Orioles, though it caused him to miss just one start. The veteran righty was again forced to exit his outing early on Sunday, though he'll be sidelined for at least one start this time and likely more than that. Randy Dobnak should be headed for a couple of more spot starts with Pineda on the shelf, though Dobnak himself is also a bit banged up.--Tim Capurso
