Jose Urena Shelled By White Sox On Saturday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Jose Urena had an outing to forget in the team's 15-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. Urena pitched just 1 2/3 innings and allowed five hits, three walks and eight runs (seven earned) while striking out one. He took the loss and dropped to 2-6 on the year. Through 12 starts, Urena has a 5.16 ERA and 1.54 WHIP. He had a solid run of four consecutive quality starts from mid-April to early May, but outside of that stretch, it's been a rough first season in Detroit for the former Marlin. His next start will be on Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels.
