Hunter Henry Injured In Practice Thursday
4 years agoNew England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (leg) appeared to injure his lower left leg during 7-on-7 drills midway through practice on Thursday. Henry tested his leg out on the sideline after having his ankle/foot re-taped, but he never returned to practice. It doesn't sound like this is a serious injury, but we'll have to see if he returns to practice on Friday for the team's last workout of organized team activities before mandatory minicamp begins next week. Injuries have hurt the 26-year-old's career so far to this point, but he impressed with 60 catches for 613 yards and four touchdowns in his final season with the Los Angeles Chargers. His fit in New England isn't ideal, though, with an aging quarterback in Cam Newton in two-tight end sets with Jonnu Smith.
