Blake Jarwin 2021 Outlook: Return to Form Or Snap Sharing Tight End
4 years agoBlake Jarwin was a popular pick for a breakout season in 2018 and it didn't materialize. Jarwin did just enough with some strong performances down the bench to become another hot prospect heading into 2019 and once again....more promise than results. 2020 saw him record one catch before tearing his ACL, yet once again the buzz is building. Will 2021 be the year we finally see Blake Jarwin become a true TE1 option? Odds are it will be more of the same. I see a slight rise in the number of receptions but Jarwin will also be sharing time with Dalton Shultz, who produced 63 catches in Jarwin's stead a season ago. With three productive receivers and what should be a bounce-back year from Ezekiel Elliott, a breakout year for Jarwin feels like a stretch. Dallas should be looking to the tight end more in the red zone but a split between Jarwin and Schultz is the likely scenario entering 2021, rendering both nothing more than middling TE2s.
