Corey Davis Suffers Minor Shoulder Strain
4 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Corey Davis (shoulder) suffered what is believed to be a minor shoulder strain at organized team activities on Thursday when he went up for a ball and landed on his shoulder, according to sources. Dr. James Andrews will look at some scans on Friday, but team doctors think Davis will be fine after some rest. The former first-round pick broke out in the final year of his rookie deal with the Tennessee Titans last season, finally becoming a consistent deep threat. The 26-year-old finished with career-highs in catches (65), receiving yards (984), yards per catch (15.1) and touchdowns (five) in 14 games (12 starts). Davis should be Gang Green's No. 1 receiver option, but don't expect too much with rookie quarterback Zach Wilson at the helm.
