Aaron Hicks Will Miss Remainder Of Season After Surgery
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (wrist) will miss the rest of the 2021 season, according to manager Aaron Boone. Hicks had initially been hoping to avoid the surgery, but eventually opted to go under the knife to repair a torn tendon sheath in his left wrist. Hicks had not been performing up to expectations for the year, with a .194/.294/.333 slash line with four homers, but he's now droppable in all redraft formats. Brett Gardner and Clint Frazier stand to pick up at-bats in center field, and prospect Estevan Florial has also been added to the major league roster.
