Noah Syndergaard To Be Shut Down For Six Weeks
4 years agoThe New York Mets will shut down starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (elbow) for six weeks due to right elbow inflammation. Syndergaard was forced to leave his rehab start on Tuesday with what was described as discomfort in his elbow. While no structural damage has been found in Syndergaard's arm, the team is still proceeding with caution. Being shut down for six weeks puts him on a rather long timeline for a return. Fantasy managers should expect for him not to make his 2021 debut until August at the earliest.
