Ronald Acuna Jr. Reaches Base Three Times On Wednesday
4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. reached base three times in Wednesday night's 9-5 loss to the Boston Red Sox. He went 2-for-4 in the game with two singles and he was hit by a pitch. Acuna is tied for third in the MLB in home runs with 15. He's hit seven of them in May, but he's struggled a bit overall this month. After slashing .341/.443/.705 in April, Acuna has a .208/.308/.506 slash line in May. He has a .279 batting average on the year, but a .304 xBA. He ranks in the top 1% of the league in xSLG (.642) and xwOBA (.443). Needless to say, Acuna is an absolute stud. His batting average might fluctuate a bit, but it's not going to hurt fantasy managers and he's going to be elite in power and stolen base production.
