Devontae Booker 2021 Outlook: Just The Understudy
4 years agoTake a look at Wayne Gallman's 2020. That's what you can expect from Devontae Booker. If Saquon Barkley stays on the field, Booker will play sporadically, replacing Barkley when he needs a breather, nothing more. Booker will not have any standalone value. If Barkley misses time again, Booker will likely end up being a weekly RB2, much like Gallman was over a seven game stretch in the middle to second half of the 2020 season. Booker can be drafted either to handcuff your own Barkley or to take the Barkley manager's handcuff, but he will quickly be dropped if Barkley stays healthy. Booker is better left in free agency, but will be a priority add if Barkley gets hurt again.
