Alec Bohm Heading To The Bench On Wednesday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Nick Neidert and the Miami Marlins. Brad Miller is shifting over to cover third base in the game and Roman Quinn, fresh of the injured list, is getting the start in right field. This is going to be the second time Bohm is out of the starting lineup over the team's past five games. It's been a dreadful year for Bohm, who is slashing .212/.249/.318 with four home runs, three stolen bases, 24 RBI and 19 runs. It's a bad sign that he's sitting twice within a week while the team is so ravaged with injuries. In shallow leagues, he's certainly a drop candidate, but deep league managers should try to stay patient if there's room on the bench.
