Optimism Surrounding Corey Kluber's Injury
4 years agoThere is optimism about New York Yankees starting pitcher Corey Kluber's (shoulder) situation, as he only reported tightness in his shoulder after leaving his start early on Tuesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays. The MRI exam that he will have on Wednesday is viewed as precautionary. Of course, the big fear hear is that it's related to Kluber's season-ending shoulder injury from last year. The veteran right-hander gave up two runs while striking out five and walking three in three innings before exiting on Tuesday. Fantasy managers will have a better idea of how long Kluber might be out after the team gets the results of the MRI exam. The 35-year-old is currently sporting a 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 55 strikeouts in 53 1/3 innings over 10 starts this year.
