4 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals have placed outfielder Harrison Bader (rib) on the injured list due to a hairline fracture on one of his ribs. Bader suffered the injury in the third inning of Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox when he attempted to make a diving catch. The team recalled outfielder John Nogowski to take Bader's roster spot. This is Bader's second trip to the injured list this year. He began the season on the injured list due to a forearm injury. Bader has shown some promising signs this year. He's cut his strikeout rate down to 15.7% and he has four home runs and three stolen bases over 22 games. He's worth keeping an eye on for fantasy managers in deep leagues, though he can be universally dropped by fantasy managers without an IL spot to spare at this point.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
