Steelers Sign First-Rounder Najee Harris
4 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers signed first-round running back Najee Harris to the standard four-year rookie contract on Tuesday. The deal is worth a fully guaranteed $13.1 million. Harris was the first running back off the board in last month's draft, going at pick No. 24 overall to the Steelers. With James Conner out of town, Harris should become the team's workhorse running back sooner than later. Benny Snell Jr. and Anthony McFarland Jr. will also be involved, but Harris should have a large role in his rookie season. However, Pittsburgh's offensive line will need to improve drastically to help the rookie out. Based on projected usage alone, Harris should be a solid RB2 with upside for more in his first NFL season. He'll be a hot commodity in both single-year and dynasty/keeper drafts this fall.
