Daulton Varsho Optioned To Triple-A
4 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned outfielder/catcher Daulton Varsho to Triple-A. The move was made as a corresponding move to the activation of catcher Carson Kelly (toe) from the 10-day injured list. Varsho has struggled significantly at the plate this year. Over 19 games, he has slashed .171/.227/.244 without hitting a home run. He wasn't much better during his first stint in the Majors last year, slashing .188/.287/.366 over 37 games. There's a good chance we'll see him back in the Majors later this year, but the Diamondbacks may want to give him a good amount of time to come around at Triple-A first.
