Kris Bubic Allows Just Two Runs Against Tigers
4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Kris Bubic had a solid outing against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. He pitched five innings and allowed six hits, three walks and two earned runs while striking out three. He wound up with a no decision on the day. Bubic has looked impressive over his time in the Majors this year. Over 23.2 innings (including three starts), he has a 1.52 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. He only has 17 strikeouts, but he's been limiting hard contact. Going into Sunday's game, he had yielded just a 30.2% hard-hit rate, which ranked in the 88th percentile of the league. He'll look to keep building off of his recent success on Friday against the Minnesota Twins.
