4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Scott Kazmir and the San Francisco Giants. Austin Barnes is getting the start behind the plate and batting sixth in the game. Smith has had a fantastic month of May. He has appeared in 16 games this month and has slashed .327/.361/.545 with two home runs, four doubles, 10 RBI and 11 runs. He's seen some of his power peripherals decline from last year so far. He has a 40.4% hard-hit rate, down from 47.3% last year, and his 18.6 degree average launch angle is down from 24.2 degrees last year. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned about this.
