Triston McKenzie Tagged For Six Runs On Friday
4 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Triston McKenzie had a rough outing against the Cleveland Indians on Friday. McKenzie pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed two hits, five walks and six earned runs while striking out four. McKenzie has now allowed at least five earned runs in three of his four starts this month. He's yet to go past five innings in a start this season and has a 6.89 ERA and 1.69 WHIP on the year. His 30.6% strikeout rate ranks in the 83rd percentile, but his atrocious 20.8% walk rate ranks in the bottom 1% of the league. He's also allowing a 52.9% hard-hit rate (bottom 2%) and 18.6% barrel rate (bottom 1%). McKenzie can be dropped or left on waivers in just about all season-long leagues. His next start will be on Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers.
