BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues
ANALYSIS: St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Harrison Bader has made some great strides at the plate so far this year. He's been the team's everyday centerfielder in May and as long as he continues to deliver at the plate, that shouldn't change.
Bader had some major strikeout issues prior to this year. He ranked amongst the bottom 10% of the league in strikeout rate in each of the last three years. He had a career-high 32% strikeout rate last year. This year so far, his strikeout rate is just 12.9% and he has a BB/K ratio of exactly 1.00.
Bader had reached base in each of his 17 games so far in May going into Friday's action. Over that 17-game stretch, he has four home runs and three stolen bases. Bader ranks in the 97th percentile in sprint speed this year and is a proven base stealer (15 SB over 138 games in 2018). He should be able to manage 15 stolen bases if he stays healthy and he could add around 12-to-15 home runs on top of that.
Bader is worth adding for anyone who needs outfield help in leagues of 12 teams or deeper. He's worth a look in more shallow leagues too, especially any 10-team leagues with five starting outfield positions.
