BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 47% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The window is open! Only 53% of the way open in Yahoo! Leagues as of this writing - and it should be closing more and more over this weekend and into next week - but it's open nonetheless!
Minnesota Twins first baseman/outfielder Alex Kiriloff (wrist) is set to return from about a two-week absence on Friday against the Cleveland Indians. He suffered a wrist sprain on May 5 and was sent on a rehab assignment this week where he went on to play two games at Triple-A and homer in both of them.
Kiriloff appeared in 12 games this year before the injury and while he struck out 13 times and batted just .214, he hit four home runs and three doubles while tallying 11 RBI and eight runs.
The 23-year-old Kiriloff has been one of the top prospects in all of baseball for about three or four years. He's currently sitting at No. 20 on the MLB.com Prospect Rankings. He's shown phenomenal all-around hitting potential during his minor league career and he's already started to deliver on some of that potential in the Majors. While he may struggle to maintain a strong average and also may strikeout more than we'd like, he should still be a sturdy source of power going forward. He also figures to have an everyday role for a last place Twins team very much in need of help.
Kiriloff is a must-add in all leagues. His upside is immense. If he struggles over the next few weeks, he could be worth cut consideration, but he has a good chance to be a top-30 outfielder or better the rest of the way this year.
