Daulton Varsho Struggling At The Plate
4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Daulton Varsho has had a rough 2021 campaign since his call-up in late April. Over 17 games, he's slashing .200/.243/.286 with two RBI and five runs. He's yet to hit his first home run of the year. Varsho showed great plate discipline as well as some power and stolen base potential in the minors. Over 108 games at Double-A in 2019, he hit 18 home runs and walked 42 times while striking out just 63 times. He also stole 21 bases over that stretch. Varsho showed a hint of his potential in his first trip to the Majors last year, hitting three home runs and stealing three bases over 37 games, but he's still clearly yet to find his comfort zone in the Majors. He can be left on waivers in all season-long leagues at this point. Hold onto him in dynasty formats.
