Miguel Sano Blasts Grand Slam Thursday
4 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Sano wasted no time in the second game of the doubleheader, crushing the fourth pitch he saw- a fastball- in his first at-bat of the game for a grand slam off of Angels' righty Griffin Canning. The blast traveled 413 feet at an exit velocity of 106.4 MPH. Sano now has four home runs and eight RBI over his last four games, as he's definitely starting to find his power stroke. A notorious fastball-masher, all four of the slugger's recent homers have come off of heaters, though he'll have to prove he can handle or lay off of off-speed stuff when pitchers decide to test him. At any rate, Sano is hot right now and can definitely help fantasy managers in need of home runs.
