4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (wrist) is close to making his return to the field and could rejoin the team prior to their game against the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. Kiermaier has been sidelined since May 8 after he sprained his left wrist while sliding into second base. Prior to the injury, Kiermaier slashed .217/.299/.290 over 23 games with eight runs and three stolen bases. Brett Phillips, who has been playing in center field everyday recently, should see a substantial hit in playing time upon Kiermaier's return. Kiermaier is worth roster consideration for fantasy managers in deep leagues and AL-only leagues in need of outfield depth.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
