Jacob Stallings Out Of Lineup Tuesday
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates catcher Jacob Stallings (knee) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener with the Cardinals, as he continues to deal with a knee contusion, according to Jake Crouse of MLB.com. Stallings exited Sunday's game after taking a foul ball off his knee while behind the plate in the top of the seventh inning, but examinations determined it was nothing serious and the team listed Stallings as day-to-day. When healthy, Stallings has been a solid fantasy option at catcher this season, as he is slashing .257/.370/.446 with three home runs, 15 RBI and 11 runs scored in 33. In the meantime, Michael Perez will get the start behind the plate for Pittsburgh and is batting eighth on Tuesday night.
