Ji-Man Choi Activated From Injured List, Starting On Sunday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi (knee) has been activated from the injured list and he is set to make his 2021 debut on Sunday against Marcus Stroman and the New York Mets. He's batting third in the game and Yandy Diaz is heading to the bench. Choi has been sidelined since March, when he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Choi was solid in 2019, hitting 19 home runs while batting .261 over 127 games. He struggled in 2020, however, managing just three home runs over 42 games while hitting .230. He's someone worth watching in deep leagues and AL-only leagues, but he can remain on waivers for now.
