4 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (quad) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles. Stanton will miss his third game since being scratched from the lineup on Friday due to a tight left quad. Manager Aaron Boone had said Saturday that the slugger's condition improved overnight, meaning the Yankees are likely just playing it safe with him. Stanton should be expected to return to action during the team's upcoming series against the Rangers. Aaron Judge will serve as the designated hitter once again on Sunday.--Tim Capurso
