Mike Moustakas Injured Thursday
4 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Mike Moustakas (finger) left the game early on Thursday against the Colorado Rockies and was having his finger looked at by a trainer in the dugout. The Reds also lost outfielder/infielder Nick Senzel to an undisclosed injury earlier in the game and are dealing with a short bench. Before leaving the game, Moustakas had a single in two plate appearances in Colorado. The 32-year-old left-handed hitter has been slumping lately, but he did hit his fourth home run of the season on Wednesday. On the year as a whole, Moose is slashing .241/.333/.446 with four long balls, 15 runs scored and 12 RBI in 99 plate appearances. Depending on how serious the injuries are to Moustakas and Senzel, Jonathan India could see a playing time increase in the near future.
