Matt Harvey Roughed Up In Return To Citi Field
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Matt Harvey (3-3) allowed a season-high seven runs and eight hits in just 4 1/3 innings on Wednesday in his return to Citi Field to face his former team, the New York Mets. The right-hander's ERA rose from 3.60 to 4.81 in the rough outing. The pitcher formerly known as the Dark Knight in Gotham received a standing ovation from the crowd when he warmed up for the first inning, but the 32-year-old didn't make it out of the fifth inning. Harvey started the 2013 All-Star game at Citi Field and was 25-18 with the Mets from 2012 to 2015. But he went 9-19 with a 3.66 ERA from 2015 to 2018 and has bounced around the majors since then. Harvey has been a nice story in his resurgence with the last-place Orioles, but he's obviously a very risky streaming option these days.
