Shohei Ohtani Throws Another Gem
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani had his best game in three years on Tuesday night against the Houston Astros, and he now has a 2.10 ERA to go with a .903 OPS as a hitter. Ohtani allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings while striking out 10 batters and walking one in seven innings in the loss. It was his longest start since before he had Tommy John surgery in 2018. The 26-year-old two-way star also went 1-for-4 at the plate with a single. Ohtani struggled with his control early this season, but he was spot on against Houston on Tuesday, and his split-fingered fastball continued to look nasty. The Japanese right-hander is turning into a must-start in fantasy each and every time he toes the rubber for a start.
