Joey Votto Hit By Pitch, Removed From Wednesday's Game
4 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (hand) was hit in the thumb by a Dallas Keuchel changeup in the fourth inning of Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox. He initially stayed in the game, but was later removed in the sixth inning and replaced by Kyle Farmer. Votto was 0-for-1 in the game before he left. The fact that Votto tried to tough things out and stay in the game could be a good indication that it's nothing serious. The Reds are off on Thursday, so hopefully the day off will allow Votto to be back in the lineup for the team's next game against the Cleveland Indians on Friday.
