Luke Voit Collects Two Hits In First Rehab Game
4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk in his first rehab game on Tuesday with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Voit ripped the first pitch of the night for a loud double off the wall in center field, then showed the Yankees that his knee is fully healthy when he beat out an infield single later in the game. He also drew a walk. Voit is coming off of left knee surgery after he partially tore his meniscus- though he seems to be on his way towards a mid-May return to the Yankee lineup. The slugger led all of baseball in homers during the shortened 2020 season- and owns a .915 OPS in 213 career games with New York. He projects to be a top-10 fantasy first baseman in 2021.
