Miguel Cabrera Hitless Over His Last Six Games
4 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera has gone ice cold at the plate. Over his last six games, he has gone 0-for-22 with 12 strikeouts and no walks. He is now slashing .105/.117/.228 over 16 games on the year. He has just three extra-base hits, a double and two home runs. The 38-year-old spent about two weeks on the injured list with a mild biceps strain before returning to action on April 25. Cabrera started off slow last year before coming on strong in the last month of the season, so he may follow a similar pattern this year. Regardless, the depth at first base makes Cabrera easy to leave on waivers in just about all fantasy leagues while he remains cold.
