Roman Quinn Heading To Injured List With Finger Laceration
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies center fielder Roman Quinn (hand) returned from a one-day stint on the injured list on Sunday. The reason for the brief stint was unspecified, but it was likely due to side effects from a COVID vaccine shot or contact tracing. Now, he is headed back to the injured list again, according to manager Joe Girardi. Quinn was hit in the right hand by a pitch in the second inning of Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He initially stayed in the game, but was lifted an inning later after he was found to be bleeding. He was given nine stitches to seal a cut on his right index finger. Quinn has appeared in 24 games this year and is slashing .136/.269/.250 with two RBI and six runs scored.
