Nate Lowe Continues To Contribute With Two Hits, Steal
4 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Nate Lowe had two hits in the club's 6-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Monday. The young hitter went 2-for-5, including a double, and struck out twice. He also stole his fourth base of the season in as many tries. Lowe has been a solid contributor at first base for the Rangers and is hitting .277 with six home runs. His 140 wRC+ places him eighth in the majors in that category among first basemen ahead of the likes of Freddie Freeman, Anthony Rizzo, and Jose Abreu. Lowe's .352 BABIP will likely come down a bit and his strikeout rate is nearing 28% but he should remain a solid first base option moving forward.
