4 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene is being sent to Double-A to start the 2021 season. The 20-year-old is the Tigers' No. 2 overall prospect, per MLB Pipeline. This will be his first full year in the minors. He was selected 5th overall in the 2019 MLB draft by the Tigers, then went on to play 57 games across Single-A and Low-A in 2019, slashing .271/.347/.403 with five home runs, eight doubles, five stolen bases, 28 RBI and 34 runs. There's a chance he gets the call later this year if he excels at Double-A, but 2022 may be the more realistic estimate for Greene's MLB debut.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
