Aroldis Chapman Notches Fifth Save
4 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman worked another easy ninth for his fifth save of the year in Saturday's win over Detroit. Chapman went nine games without garnering a single save chance but has gone a perfect 5-for-5 in his opportunities since while fanning 22 batters with just three free passes allowed. The southpaw's expected ERA is 0.82- and his expected batting average is .066, so the underlying numbers are certainly backing up this dominant start. Chapman looks better than ever and is pitching for a Yankees team that is slowly starting to get going- he has an outside chance to lead the majors in saves.
