4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Brent Rooker was sent down to the minors on Friday. Rooker had been sidelined for about two weeks with a neck injury but struggled upon returning, batting just .111 with a home run in five games. The 26-year-old became the odd man out with Max Kepler and Kyle Garlick returning from the COVID-19 injured list. Rooker is expected to play the outfield for the Triple-A St. Paul club, with the minor-league season slated to start in early May.--Tim Capurso
