4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Ian Kennedy continues to enjoy his bounce-back season with the club after recording his fifth save in as many tries during the club's 4-1 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Thursday. The 36-year-old hurler has struck out 13 batters without issuing a walk in 10 innings this season. Kennedy is coming off a dismal 2020 season that saw him post a 9.00 ERA with 20 hits allowed in 14 innings of work but he posted a solid K-BB of 15-5 during the shortened season. He also saved 30 games with a K-BB of 73-17 in 63 1.3 innings in 2019 so his early success in 2021 doesn't appear to be a fluke. Kennedy wasn't on many fantasy radars early in the season but he could remain a strong high-leverage option throughout the season.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
