Kyle Gibson Pitches Six Strong Innings
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Kyle Gibson recorded his third win of the season on Thursday during the club's 4-1 victory over the Boston Red Sox. The veteran right-hander allowed just one run on three hits and three walks through six innings of work. He also struck out four batters and induced eight ground-ball outs. After a rough season in 2020 that saw him post a 5.35 ERA with 73 hits allowed in 67 1/3 innings, Gibson now has a 2.16 ERA with 27 hits in 33 1/3 innings this season. And after allowing 12 homers last year, he has yet to be taken deep in 2021. The 33-year-old isn't the best long-term option in fantasy but he's worth grabbing while he's hot.
