George Springer Making Blue Jays Debut Wednesday
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (quadriceps) has been activated from the injured list and will make his season debut in the leadoff spot as the designated hitter on Wednesday against Washington Nationals right-hander Erick Fedde. Toronto is easing Springer back into the swing of things in his first game of the season, but he'll eventually slot in as the team's everyday center fielder. Fantasy managers that paid a pretty penny for the 31-year-old outfielder are stoked to finally slot him into their starting lineups on Wednesday in a favorable matchup. The three-time All-Star can do it all for fantasy managers, and he's a must-start each and every day now that he's off the injured list. Springer posted 30-plus home runs in two of the last four seasons and can contribute in all fantasy categories, although he doesn't run much these days.
