Buccaneers Bring Back Antonio Brown
4 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed wide receiver Antonio Brown to a one-year deal worth up to $6.25 million on Wednesday. He'll receive $3.1 million fully guaranteed, including a $2 million signing bonus. There was always mutual interest on both sides in a reunion, and Brown all along wanted to return to continue playing with quarterback Tom Brady after winning the Super Bowl last year. The seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro signed with Tampa midseason in 2020 and was used in more of a complementary role alongside all the team's other offensive weapons. Brown had 45 catches for 483 yards and four touchdowns in eight regular season games last year, adding a TD grab in the Super Bowl win over the Chiefs. Resolving his civil dispute with former trainer Britney Taylor was key to the Bucs re-signing him. Brown will once again serve as the No. 3 receiver in Tampa behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in 2021.
