4 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Alex Colome struggled in his appearance on Tuesday. Just hours after manager Rocco Baldelli said he would look to get Colome in lower-leverage situations, the veteran reliever entered the game in the eighth inning with the Twins down one run. He allowed a pair of runs on three walks and a hit batsman while striking out a pair. It's fair to wonder whether Colome should have been in the game in that situation given his recent performances, though it's safe to say he won't be getting the ball in the ninth inning anytime soon. Look for Baldelli to turn to a combination of Taylor Rogers and Hansel Robles, with perhaps Tyler Duffey a sleeper for saves.--Tim Capurso
