Mike Trout Expects To Return Monday Night
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (elbow) said he's feeling better after being hit by a fastball on his left elbow last Thursday and expects to return to the lineup for the series opener on Monday against the Texas Rangers. Trout missed three games with a bruised elbow. He took some swings on Sunday and thinks he's ready to go. "It's still a little sore but it's definitely improved the last few days," Trout said. The three-time American League MVP and eight-time All-Star is a must-start each and every time he's in the lineup, so fantasy managers must get ready to insert him back into their lineups. The 29-year-old is slashing .393/.521/.804 with a 1.325 OPS, six home runs, 15 runs scored and 12 RBI in his first 56 at-bats of the 2021 season. He'll be facing Rangers right-hander Jordan Lyles.
